I have already written an article on dressing up for rainy weather so if you haven't read it yet, please do so:
http://stylemauritius.blogspot.com/2011/07/rainy-days.html . It could really spare you terrible fashion drama. In addition I have covered all the fall trends so you can get inspired: http://stylemauritius.blogspot.com/2011/06/fallwinter-20112012-part-1.html and http://stylemauritius.blogspot.com/2011/06/fallwinter-20112012-part-2.html .
Tweak one: The updated sweater.I am very, very bored of seeing plain sweaters on the streets. This is why I want an animal sweater this winter- a sweater with an animal on it as seen at Emanuel Ungaro and Givenchy. The images below are courtesy of Style.com

Tweak two: Wearing two jackets. This was in last week's article but I'm going to elaborate more on it here.
I love this look so much. It kept my chest warm and got rid of my cold in two days, as well as braving the wind and rain and still looking fiercely stylish. What you do is this:
Simply take a leather jacket ( or faux leather, depending on your preferences as regards to animals, availability and price of leather jackets here) and on top, layer a sleeveless denim jacket that has been heavily worn. You could also wear the sleeveless denim jacket under the leather one, both look awesome.

Tweak three: Two scarves.
This adds interest to an accessory. The good thing is, clashing prints are in fashion so enjoy the trend whilst you can.Otherwise if you want to keep it simple, just take a neutral coloured scarf and pair with a brightly coloured/printed one.

Tweak four: Instead of only wearing a jacket, add a cardigan too. For example:
White shirt+cropped cardigan+jacket+jeans/trousers+boots+accessories.
All Asos
NOTE: Do NOT wear all of these at the same time! The important thing is to draw attention to a certain item of clothing, one at a time. That means either go for the double jackets OR double scarves OR cardigan+jacket.
My Week
Here are some photos taken at CTI this week, showcasing what the students wear.
So Chic So C is the fashion show organised by the C Beach Club which StyleMauritius will be attending and covering. Everyone will have at some point in their lives a fashion show or an event of the same kind to attend, so next week's article will be on how to dress for one of them. For more information please read http://stylemauritius.blogspot.com/p/upcoming-events.html
Have a great week and amazing weekend, and stay warm and stylish.
xoxo
