Thursday, August 11, 2011

Nothing beats looking and planning what you are going to wear for summer 2011/2012 when its the middle of winter and you've got the flu. Well its what I like to do anyway, to cheer me up a bit. I've covered all the major trends for Autumn/ Winter 2011/2012 and trust that you have incorporated some of the trends into your everyday looks, so now all I'm waiting for is the Spring/ Summer 2011/2012 women collections to come out. In the meantime, here are the best of the Resort Collections for 2012 ans their trends.
Note to the reader: There aren't as many designers who do Resort collections as compared to Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. That's why the article is shorter.

Bold, Bright Colours.
What: It's a trend that has persevered from Summer to Winter 2011 and now to Resort.

How to wear it: You can layer up your look as in Gucci- a white and navy striped top, shorts and a cardigan, with tan leather sandals or black heels

Last week, I was writing from Terminal 5. This week, its from my bed, with a very red nose and tons of tissue boxes around me. I've got the flu and I hate it. But being sick and feeling all sleepy is not an excuse to look that way.
I love layering-its a great way to turn a simple look different. A great way to keep your chest warm is to layer two jackets on top of each other. First, on top of a tank top and a long thin wool cardigan, I added my leather jacket and a sleeveless, well worn out denim jacket on top (the leather jacket was partly unzipped, the denim jacket not zipped up, so there is depth to the look).I added a thick pair of tights with laced up ankle boots, and a leopard print scarf.
