999 Fashion Emergency!
I've covered broken heels and soles, now moving on to:
Underwear Problems

You know the sort:
"I have an amazingly sexy dress to wear, but I can't wear a bra/knickers/etc underneath and I feel uncomfortable/I can see every lump and bump and piece of fleshy fat/etc."

It happens to the best of us at the worst times. At the Oscars, for example, there are terrible wardrobe malfunctions because incorrect underwear was worn and the dress comes off as looking bad.

Before focusing on underwear, check that the outfit fits you.Not too small, large or anything.Basically,if you can lift up your arms, jump three times in a circle, dance or imitate a fall and the dress is 1) still in place 2)not hurting you, it's good.

Now on the underwear.
The right underwear will change your life.I am not joking.
Not only will it lift, cinch, firm, cover and provide all around security, it will also make you feel more comfortable.
It acts as a layer of thin plastic over the bits you want to cover,so that not a trace of cellulite or uneven bump will be noticed.

I have seen things.Terrible things.
A woman not wearing a bra when she is a D cup, because her top is cut in such a way that a typical bra with straps would be shown.
Another woman, just last week on the bus, wearing a top so low cut that the men sitting next to her had their eyes fixed on her exposed flesh, and the bus driver kept checking the mirror above to look every three seconds. This not only led to dangerous driving, but the woman could provoke unwanted reactions.
Another time,it was a girl who wore those really clingy jersey-mix dresses. She had a cellulite problem-the small bumps were seen on the thigh through the dress.
At school, for lack of bras/other reasons sometimes girls wore bikini tops.
Et cetera, et cetera.

Do women here know about the existence of strapless bras? Not the sort that are like very small bandeau tops. I mean the real thing that supports your bust.

Wonderbra

Do they sell them here? That's another question. Not everyone can spend Rs500 on a bra at some of the shops.

I don't think that underwear is a concept that important here.It should be. It's one of the pillars of a person's wardrobe.
Every girl needs:
A T-shirt bra

Calvin Klein

A bra with straps.

Victoria's Secret

A strapless bra.

Victoria's Secret

One with adjustable straps, called multi-way, so you can change the way the straps are held to go with the top/dress.

Victoria's Secret

And when I mean bra,I mean A CORRECTLY SIZED ONE.I have never seen a proper fitting service here so that women can find their correct size.Very few women know what size they really are.
You can always use this: www.victoriassecret.com/bras/how-to-measure

You also want:
1.A thong.Yes they are uncomfortable but unavoidable in certain circumstances.

2.Knickers in all cuts:low rise,high rise,bikini cut et cetera.All have their uses.

3.No line knickers.

4.Spanx

If you really are in an emergency and can't afford to cut your tights to make your thighs look even and smooth, wear cycling shorts. The fabric will cause friction though,so beware.

It takes investment, but it's worth it.
Also,never ever wear ripped tights.
