f(x) will hold their first ever solo concert in 2016

Just as it was rumored, f(x) has finally gotten the chance to host their own solo concert!

It was confirmed by SM Entertainment on October 28th that the four-member girl group will be holding their very first solo concert since debuting in 2009, set to be held in January 30th and 31st in 2016 at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul.

The announcement of the concert has received a lot of hot reaction from fans, who have been waiting for this moment for six years.

f(x) debuted in 2009 with “LA cha TA” followed by various other hits including “Chu~♡” “NU ABO,” “Pinocchio,” “Hot Summer,” “Electric Shock,” “Red Light” and more. Most recently, they released their 4th studio album 4 Walls whose leading title track of the same name has hit #1 on several digital charts since being released on the 27th.

In early October, an insider who is well-known for providing accurate f(x) news and was identified as an SM staffer known as Ilgu by netizens, revealed that the girl group would indeed be having their first concert following their album release. This has now been proven to be very true.

The second part of his announcement was that f(x) would finally be getting an official fanclub name. Despite debuting in 2009, f(x) fans remains to be nameless to this date. With the concert news now revealed to be real, there’s even a higher possibility that f(x) fans will indeed be getting a fanclub name.

The internet has gone crazy reacting to photos of 2NE1’s Bom in a rare public sighting since hiatus. 

On October 20th, a fan taken photo and video of Bom sparked a lot of discussion online as she was spotted leaving YG Entertainment’s building. The photos were proof of the singer’s rare public sighting since making her hiatus following her drug controversy.

Fans were quick to comment their delight on seeing her in the public after a long time, while some argued the authenticity of the clip. The owner of the original clip was quick to clarify that the video was taken on October 19th.The news, however, left some fans to start speculations on her sudden reappearance.

Coincidentally, Yang Hyun Suk made a public post on the same day commemorating 2NE1’s sixth year anniversary.

Netizens terrified after rookie girl group member’s epic wardrobe malfunction

Stills from a recent fancam of a rookie girl group member’s dance performance have gotten much buzz on internet forums due to the epic wardrobe malfunction that can be seen.

The series of images are of a girl group called Bambino as they performed their track “New Thang.” Some have compared this instance to a similar one that occurred recently involving Girl’s Day’s Sojin.

Girl group Grade 7 Class 1 explains their on stage underwear controversy

After Grade 7 Class 1‘s controversy involving the members allegedly showing their underwear on stage came to light, their agency has now fully explained the situation.

The group made their debut back in January of 2014 with the track “Oppa Virus” and then quickly followed up with “Always” just a few months later in May 2014. Since then, they released “Farewell Fighting” and even released the track “Hey You” as an OST for the MBC drama, Sweeden Laundry. In June 2015, they returned with a new track by the name of “White Wind.”

However, Grade 7 Class 1 has now become a hot topic of discussion after the members allegedly wore underwear that was visible due to their choreography that involves turning around and dancing on stage. According to Korean media, the group members tried to explain the situation but it actually caused more harm for them than good.

Their agency, Different Star Entertainment, released an official statement regarding the stage outfit controversy on July 20th. They explained, “they should have worn [inner pants] no matter what but they found out they forgot them right before recording. [But] they had no choice but to get up on stage.”

They also sent along a quote from group leader, Baek Sehee, explaining the situation. She stated, “I knew that as a rookie group, I couldn’t just do the choreography poorly so I had no time to think about not wearing the inner pants and did the choreography the same as usual.”

The controversy originally begin after a direct camera view video of their performance on July 9th showing the alleged underwear scene went viral on the internet. Many netizens gathered to discuss whether she was really wearing only her underwear and still did the choreography or if it was actually really short pants, which are commonly worn by most girl groups that wear short skirts.

However, due to the agency’s official statement and the quote from Baek Sehee herself, it was confirmed that the she was indeed only wearing her underwear. Netizens expressed their discontent with the situation but sided with the rookie group, mostly blaming the agency and staff.

Taeyeon makes an adorable mistake on stage

While Girls’ Generation performed at their showcase PARTY@ Banyan Tree, Taeyeonmade a mistake that fans found to be adorable.

On July 7th, Girls’ Generation hosted their PARTY@ Banyan Tree comeback showcase at Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul to launch their album Party. During the stage performance, Taeyeon brought out a cocktail shaker to do a cocktail mixing performance to music. During the performance, she accidentally spilt the cocktail all over the stage. Photos caught her with her priceless reactions.
