First of all I apologise for not posting as often as I used to - I am absolutely overloaded with work, for my degree and for a few other things that I cannot reveal for the moment.
This said, I think it would be a sin if I did not write about the pieces that I wear every week, especially as they are locally produced for the most part.
I'm typing this wearing the most gorgeous sweater imaginable. It's decadently soft, the colour of the lagoon at 7am when the sky harbours no clouds. It's the perfect colour to wear on a tan. It's a warm hug when you're away from home. Of course it's In'Am by llup. Of course. What else?
In'Am by Ilup's latest collection gathers every wardrobe staple you need for all possible Mauritian weather variations. With a French minimalist aesthetic paired with the colours of the Mauritian lagoon at different times of the day, the collection fully embraces the local need for extremely versatile pieces that adapt perfectly to our lifestyle.

If I was back home I would definitely go nautical: a simple breton top, paired with a white or red silk neck scarf if necessary. Breton can sometimes look worn, but this vibrant blue allows for no such thing. The brown trousers allow for easy movement without looking slouchy, an athletic yet feminine cut that suits hot days better than any other material.
The weather has been phenomenally hot recently, from what I gather. All those Facebook photos point to numerous hotel and pool party outings, which you can't possibly show up and leave in just a swimsuit. The collection is rife with pieces that demand to be layered on swimwear or turned into chic options come evening.
This rustic cotton dress is perfect for salad munching on the beach.
Play around in 'Athena'.
Graphic, audacious yet natural: sunset colours instantly elevate the chic factor.
I am sick of cocktail dresses. Whatever the party, you only find swarms of women dressed in the same too clingy, too short outfit. Stand out the sophisticated way in this golden jumpsuit, the colour of the sun spilling into the sea at sunset.
And finally...
If you're away from home and you find yourself in the Northern hemisphere, pack these two staples with you:
You've guessed it: I'm currently wearing 'Gravity'.
Casual, cosy chic
